Treasury Time: Hippie-Chic Wedding

 

 

 

For all you brides that daydream about getting married barefoot in a field of daisies, having a picnic with your family and best friends, then hitching up the Airstream for a cross-country honeymoon, this boho collection is for you. Included here is a vintage crochet dress for the bride, a rustic dried flower boutonniere for the groom, and lavender sachets with a guitar print to give as favors. I also absolutely love the yellow 1962 VW getaway van that can be used as table décor or as a cake topper.  It says "Just Married" on the back!  My cake bunting in "Groovy" (above) was designed with a hippie-chic theme in mind - a mix of yellow and pink floral, a brown tulip print, and pink tie dye.

Happy March Birthdays 2014!

Happy Birthday to Dad, Mom, Amalia, and me!  We had an equestrian theme for this year's March birthdays.  Amalia and I pulled out some of our favorite photos from our horse riding days.  Those were such good times!  Since our horse show ribbons were thrown out in a cleaning spree a while back, I went ahead and made some.  There's an awesome tutorial here from 100 Layer Cake.  We did, however, still have a saddle and our riding helmets so those made perfect props.  I didn't have a particular color scheme in mind for the flowers, but there just happened to be blue hydrangeas, red carnations, and yellow chyrsanthemums at the store -  the colors of first, second, and third place ribbons.  Here are some photos...

  

Treasury Time: Moonlight & Starlight

 

Get out your telescopes!  The night sky was the inspiration for my latest bunting in "Constellation", a mix of black, white, gold, and grey with a star print.  It would be perfect for a star-themed wedding or an out-of-this-world birthday party.

New Item: Personalized Cake Toppers

You asked for it, and they're here!  I've had so many requests for personalized cake toppers that I have started adding new listings to the shop.  The banners are made from hand-cut paper and sewn together with white thread.  I'm taking custom requests for these as well, so I've had lots of fun picking out new papers and patterns (and they're available in whatever wording you would like).  I hope you like them!
