Photo Friday: Cherry and Aqua

Cherry red and aqua is such a cheerful color combination (see my previous post on a hot-air balloon themed wedding).

Here's a pretty new cake topper featuring these colors in a mix of florals and dots.

Rachel Absher, a wedding and portrait photographer from Central Florida, was kind enough to give me a shout out on a recent blog post where she featured photos that included my cake bunting.  Here is one that she shared with me - it has such a gorgeous vintage feel.  You just have to take a look at the rest of the pics from this adorable tea-party themed first birthday.  She is truly talented at capturing the fun of such special occasions :)

L-O-V-E

Her are some DIY Valentine's Day decorations I put together with whatever I had on hand...The streamer banner is made from strips cut from tissue and crepe paper tied to white string.  The Cupid's arrows are my absolute favorite thing here.  I got the idea from this post on Design Sponge, but used pretty patterned card stock and bamboo skewers I painted with acrylics instead.  I dressed up the vintage bicycle with tulle and ribbon in red, pink, and coral.  The L-O-V-E flags were cut from on patterned paper, and the letters hand-painted.  They were attached to the extra painted skewers and arranged in white and milk glass vases.   Here are a couple more pictures of my arrows - I'm so happy with how they turned out :)  Happy Valentine's Day!

New Items: Fairy Tale Cake Toppers

 

We had so much fun putting together these enchanting new cake toppers, which were inspired by classic childhood fairy tales. We made "Goldilocks" (on the left) with blue gingham, florals, honeyed yellows, and a wood print.  I think she would declare it "just right" for a teddy bear picnic or tea party...see more inspiration in the treasury below.  For a woodland-themed story book party, "Red Riding Hood" (right) includes red gingham, white florals, and a wood print.
