Cake topper in "Santorini"
Inspiration: Summer in Greece
Saturday, July 1, 2017
We just got back after spending a week on the island of Lesvos, Greece, to celebrate Amalia and Paul's wedding. It was such a special and magical occasion! The island itself is stunning, with olive groves and fruit trees everywhere, and of course the sparkling sea. I gathered lots of inspiration, including for the cake topper below, a Greek island-inspired mix of gold with silver dots, floral prints, blue trellis prints, and peach florals. Enjoy the photos, too!

It's available as an instant download, so it is ready to be downloaded, printed, and framed by you immediately after purchase (see the listing for how it works). It's perfect for your workspace/home office, kids room, or classroom.
Easter 2017

Here are some photos of the flowers I used for our Easter table this year. I found some beautiful and delicate ranunculus in pink and peach, snapdragons in a coral shade, and pincushion protea. The silvery green leaves were super soft and I am not sure but think they were some kind of lamb's ear or mullein. Enjoy!

Monday, March 27, 2017
I'm so excited to introduce these new photography postcards to the shop. Below are just a few of the ones available. Photography has been a way for me to capture inspiration for my work, for illustration and even for colors and themes for party ideas. Most of the photos have been featured here on the blog. I just bought a new lens for my camera so am looking forward to trying it out and hopefully getting in a few good shots too ;) Hope you love these!

Customer Photos: February 2017

February brought some sweet surprises this year with these beautiful photos from my customers!
The first and second pics are from an adorable first birthday photo shoot, from the wonderfully talented Tara Lynn at Silver Orchid Photography. Be sure to check out her website to see more of her work, especially if you are looking for a photographer in the southern Pennsylvania area.
The third photo was sent in by a lovely customer, featuring a pretty tiered dessert display in pink and lavender. It looks fit for a fairy princess! Thank you so much to both for sharing these special memories with me!

Christmas 2016
Wednesday, December 28, 2016
I hope everyone had a happy and healthy Christmas! Amalia requested an Arctic theme this year, but I kind of turned it into an Arctic exploration theme with paper boats, icicles, polar animals and sea creatures. Amalia has already claimed the globe, which we found at Target. I think my favorite thing was the giant knit polar bear, which was adapted from Donna Wilson's 35 Knitted Animals and Other Knitted Creatures book. We followed the pattern using thicker wool roving and bigger needles. He was extra-huggable! The whale ornament (third photo) is available as a pattern from Mimi Kirchner on Etsy. Instructions for making the paper icicles can be found here. With our white walls it made the living room look like an ice cavern and they were a big hit with the kids. Looking forward to lots more fun and creativity in 2017! xo
