Photo Friday: Dutch Florals

Friday, March 23, 2018

Bought myself these beautiful spring blooms this weekend.  They remind me of the flowers in still life paintings by the Dutch masters.  Have a lovely weekend!

Easter 2017

Sunday, April 23, 2017

Here are some photos of the flowers I used for our Easter table this year.  I found some beautiful and delicate ranunculus in pink and peach, snapdragons in a coral shade, and pincushion protea.  The silvery green leaves were super soft and I am not sure but think they were some kind of lamb's ear or mullein.  Enjoy!

Christmas 2016

Sunday, January 10, 2016

We had such fun crafting up a storm for our folklore-themed Christmas this year.  We took inspiration from a mix of cultures: German gingerbread houses, Polish pajaki chandeliers and cut paper flowers, a beautiful dala horse from Sweden, Russian matroyshka dolls, and "Christ is Born!" in brightly colored Greek letters over the mantle.  Enjoy!

Inspiration: Hummingbird

Sunday, August 30, 2015

I've just listed this cake topper in shades of emerald, mint, moss, pine and forest green, inspired by this little lady who has been visiting our garden this summer.  It would be so beautiful for a woodland or botanical-themed wedding.
