Hey y'all! I'm still fresh with inspiration from our recent trip to Charleston, and here's a new embroidery hoop that is now listed in the shop. Add some sassy Southern charm to your home decor with this 5-inch hoop. It's sweet as a peach in a coral fabric with "Hey y'all" hand-embroidered in coral and mint. Buy it here.

I just love a county fair, and this sweet photo sent in by a lovely customer is so classic! I can just imagine the music, rides, and farm animals with their ribbon prizes. And lots and lots of pies, like this one :) Thank you so much for sharing your special day!

Photo Friday: Dutch Florals

Bought myself these beautiful spring blooms this weekend. They remind me of the flowers in still life paintings by the Dutch masters. Have a lovely weekend!

New Embroidery Hoops
Tuesday, March 13, 2018
Two new embroidery hoops are in the shop!
"Best Mom Ever", hand-embroidered in blue on an aqua floral print, with white daisies.
Perfect for Mother's Day (which of course is every day)!
Scandinavian folk art bird in red embroidery thread, on cream cotton fabric.
I think this would look so pretty as part of a folk-art inspired Christmas (see my post on ours here).
New Cake Toppers: Metallics
Thursday, March 1, 2018
I've been leaning towards metallics with with my latest cake buntings, in shades of gold, bronze, and gunmetal grey.
Inspired by heavy metals (the elements, not the bands!), this one includes dark earth tones in grey, brown, gold and black solids with a metallic silver dot print.
An ancient Egypt-inspired cake topper features a mix of geometric prints including zig-zag patterns and dots in black, brown, and metallic gold.
Bronze and cadet blue make a pretty palette for a modern wedding.

French Impressionist Wedding
Wednesday, November 8, 2017
In September, we had a second celebration of Amalia and Paul's wedding at home with family and friends, to share with our Yiayia who was not able to attend their wedding in Greece. We were so blessed to have shared this joyous occasion with her. We all dressed up in the same clothing that we wore on the wedding day. Amalia chose the theme of French impressionist, and I was inpired by the colors of Monet's water lilies. Enjoy the photos!
